PAN Correction is the process of updating or correcting details in an existing PAN Card, such as name, date of birth, father's name, photograph, signature, or address information.
What this includes
PAN Correction allows individuals and entities to update, modify, or correct information associated with their existing Permanent Account Number (PAN). If there are errors in the PAN Card or changes due to marriage, legal name change, date of birth correction, photograph update, signature update, or other personal details, a PAN Correction application can be submitted. The PAN number itself generally remains unchanged; only the associated details are updated after successful verification by the Income Tax Department. Keeping PAN information accurate is important for tax compliance, banking, investments, and other financial transactions
