Refund & Cancellation Policy

In short

We refund our service fee when an order fails for a Sahipaper-side reason. We cannot refund government fees once they’ve been paid to a department — that money is with the government, not with us.

When you get a full refund

  • We are unable to file your application due to an error on our side.
  • We cancel your order before submission for any reason. Government fee is also refunded in this case because it hasn’t been paid yet.
  • Payment is captured but no order is created on our system within 24 hours (rare — usually a webhook hiccup; we auto-detect and refund).

When you get a partial refund

  • You cancel after we’ve started work but before the application is filed with the department. We refund the service fee minus reasonable work-done charges (typically TODO_WORK_DONE_PCT%).
  • The department rejects your application for reasons outside our control (e.g. mismatched documents you supplied). We’ll re-file once at no additional service fee; if you decide not to proceed, government fee is non-refundable, service fee may be refundable at our discretion.

When refunds don’t apply

  • Government fees that have already been paid to a department on your behalf.
  • Orders where the certificate has been delivered.
  • Customer no-show for doorstep document collection more than twice in a row (we’ll cancel and charge a service-completion fee).

How to request a refund

Message your RM on WhatsApp or email support@sahipaper.com with your order id and the reason. We acknowledge within 48 hours.

Processing time

Once approved, refunds are issued back to the source payment method via Razorpay. Razorpay typically credits within 5–7 business days for cards and 1–3 business days for UPI / bank accounts.

Disputes

If you’re not satisfied with a refund decision, escalate to our Grievance Officer at support@sahipaper.com for review within 30 days.
